My passion for writing started at a small, Spanish/English newspaper in Chicago. My work has taken on many forms since then – from editing a media industry newsletter, to reporting for several community newspapers in Northern California, to writing for Imagination Publishing in Chicago. In recent years, I’ve been a regular contributor to numerous publications and websites for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to trade associations. The product varies:
- Magazine articles
- Digital content
- Case Studies
- Online slideshows
- e-newsletter articles
Inquisitive by nature, I’m accustomed to researching unfamiliar topics on the fly, finding sources, coordinating graphics and coming up with story ideas for my clients. I’m a member of the Association Forum of Chicagoland and was a panelist at Northwestern University’s 2011 Alumni Connection Series on Journalism, Communications, Marketing and Media. On the side, I make time for guitar lessons and an occasional flamenco dance performance.
Education: I have a B.A. in English from Boston College and an M.A. in English from Northwestern University. I have since done additional coursework in magazine writing at N.U. and through MediaBistro and other outlets.
